Intervention means: “to change the course.” We are committed to helping families move toward a solution that uses both invitational and structured family intervention models. Our staff works with each member of the family system, offering sound coaching and support with an intimate knowledge of recovery resources leading to successful change for all involved. The addicted individual is invited to participate in the intervention as forced modes of intervention can do more harm than good and hurt rather than help. Your loved one’s support system motivates him or her into recovery. The great thing about that is it includes families in the addict’s decision from the get-go, creates support during 6 months after treatment, and finally, initiates and helps to insure long-term recovery. Cindy Feinberg is a member of the Network of Independent Interventionists (NII).
The Individual’s Choice
Every decision is made by the majority, and the addicted individual has a vote in his or her own care. This respectful, invitational approach breaks the cycle of repeated failure without the shame and blame that accompanies the disease.
It is said that addiction is a family disease as it affects everyone in ways both big and small. Families are often able to trace how the addict’s pain is but one symptom of a family’s distress, and we can offer a full spectrum of brief or long-term coaching if the family needs further help. Please note that with us, crisis and emergency service support are available 24/7 by phone.
