It’s our favorite time of year: National Recovery Month.recovery

September marks the annual celebration of addiction recovery in all forms. Now in its 25th year, Recovery Month serves as a national observance to educate Americans on the benefits of addiction treatment.

Recovery Month works to spread the message that “behavioral health is essential to recovery, prevention works, treatment is effective and people can and do recover.” (Source: Recoverymonth.gov)

Here is a list of great New York community events where you can take part in the celebration. From yoga, to walking to golf tournaments: there is something for everyone.
