meditationThe beauty of finding a spiritual path in recovery is that it is different for everyone. Spirituality could be equated to a belief in something greater such as nature or a connectedness with a higher power or self. For some people, it’s participating in organized religion such as finding a church, synagogue or mosque, but that is not the only way to get in touch with your spiritual side.

Discovering a higher power and seeking spirituality can happen through consistent practice in prayer, yoga, meditation or time spent in nature. When first getting sober, you may find a sense of spiritual comfort in your recovery support group, and then find it expands in something greater.

We invite you to explore where you may find your spiritual side, and you may be pleasantly surprised how much it can help with your recovery process.
